Hand-thrown from stoneware and inspired by the ancient Japanese Raku technique where pieces are pulled glowing from fire and left to crackle and smorr unpredictably. I wanted that same smoky effect without setting my backyard on fire. So, after weeks of mixing oxides, testing glazes, and muttering “please work this time”, this cup emerged. I hope you like it as much as I do.
