Hi.
I’m Lisa-Henriëtte Huber-Youmans, but you can call me Lëtte.
Ceramics has always been part of my life. A quiet companion passed on by my mother, who taught pottery for many years. Though my path first led me through journalism and the music industry, life eventually guided me back to my muddy friend that had always felt like home.
Hermann Hesse once wrote: “In jedem Anfang wohnt ein Zauber inne.” There’s magic in every new beginning. I’ve carried that belief with me through each chapter, welcoming change as a form of creative renewal and I like to think this openness to transformation leaves its trace in my work.
Today, my studio – and my life – are based in Bordeaux, in the beautiful south of France.
A city of elegance, light and shadow, where inspiration flows from the rhythm of daily life, the kindness of people, and the magnificent surrounding landscapes.
I gratefully embrace this inspiration in my work at lëtte.ceramics – shaped slowly, by hand, in stoneware and fine local porcelain.
